All characters are costume characters such as a snowman, dragon and turkey. Following on from the licensed Minifigure series May brought us The Muppets LEGO Minifigures with another 12 Minifigures to collect which were so popular we completely sold out twice! August seen the latest release of Super Mario Character Packs Series 5, with the latest series now only containing 8 charcaters and the rrp increasing slightly. Later in 2021 came the arrival of Looney Tunes Series and the much anticipated release of the Marvel Super Heroes LEGO Minifigures range which both were hugely popular, Moving back to the release of the original series Minifigures with Series 22 being released in January 2022. In 2020 we seen the introduction of the Bandmates sets as well as the introduction of LEGO Bandmates Series 1 Minifigure packs which unfortunately for LEGO these weren’t as successful as first hoped and meant that general retail supply of Series 2 of theme was pulled with them only being available for ale in official LEGO stores. With the addition of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Minifigure Series and now Disney Series 2 LEGO Minifigures released on May 1st 2019 there are even more sought after Minifigures to add to your collection. With a 40th anniversary edition released for Series 18 LEGO collectors were going crazy with some of the new amazing designs, the only problem being that there was just 1 rarer Minifigure which was so hard to get a hold of which was the Classic Policeman (one of the 1st LEGO Minifigures to ever be made!) With the release of more LEGO based movies Such as NINJAGO LEGO Batman and The LEGO Movie 2 many new Minifigure series followed. These consisted of 16 characters themed around halloween.Īfter a couple of standard release Minifigure series LEGO blew everybodies expectations out of the water with the release of Disney Series 1 Minifigures on May 1st 2016 and they went down an absolute storm, featuring 18 characters from all of your favourite Disney shows! Unfortunately after a couple of series the LEGO Minifigures online game proved to not be as big of a success as they had hoped and the codes and game were cancelled for Series 14 LEGO Minifigures when it was released on 1st September 2015. Containing another 16 Minifigures but with a twist, this time you can unlock each one in the new online game. October 1st seen the official relase of LEGO Minifigures Series 12 of the Minifigure Range. Many AFOL’s were indecisive before seeing them in the flesh but it’s safe to say that LEGO out did the majority of expectations with this release. But who was ready for the next wave of LEGO Minifigures? The Simpsons LEGO Minfiigures which were officially released on 1st May 2014 and were a huge success. In February 2014 LEGO officially released The LEGO Movie Minifigures inline with the official Movie release. They proved that huge a success they couldn’t wait to release further LEGO Minifigure ranges and started releasing one new series approximately every 4 Months. Collectible LEGO Minifigures were first released in 2010, with the initial trial release of Series 1 Minifigures, What LEGO weren’t expecting was them to start flying off the shelves from day 1!
